Thinking about teaching people to drive? Taj offers training and mentoring for people working towards becoming an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).
How to qualify as a driving instructor
To become an ADI you need to pass three DVSA tests:
- Part 1: a theory test, with multiple-choice questions and hazard perception.
- Part 2: a test of your own driving ability.
- Part 3: a test of your ability to teach.
To apply, you need to have held a full driving licence for at least three years and pass a criminal record (DBS) check. Full details are on GOV.UK.
